86 minutes, 2023, Produced by Bethnal Films & Contravia
Five years after signing a peace agreement with the Colombian
government, three demobilised ex-FARC guerrillas, Amanda, Yuheni, and
Juan, struggle to adapt to civilian life while trying to reinvent themselves.
They once belonged to one of the most combative guerrilla units, but now
they strive to find their place in the world, facing the traumatic experiences
of war while trying to make a living. Amanda becomes a political leader
and works for the political party founded by the former guerrillas. Yuheni
clings to art to survive the injustice she sees around her. But Juan
becomes a victim of an attack carried out by a paramilitary group,
survives, and decides to take up arms once again. Meanwhile,
more than 300 former guerrillas are killed by paramilitary groups
across the country.
